Project 777
Project 777: Running the World for Impact
Project 777 is an extraordinary endurance initiative centered around the upcoming 2026 World Marathon Challenge, one of the most demanding endurance events occuring , Known as the “777 Challenge,” this event will require runners to complete seven full marathons (42.2 km each) on seven continents within seven consecutive days, covering approximately 294 kilometers (184 miles) in total. The challenge is scheduled to take place from January 31 to February 6, 2026.
Objectives
The objective of Project 777 is twofold:
1. Personal and Physical Achievement
It pushes the boundaries of human endurance, requiring participants to sustain marathon-level performance under conditions of extreme fatigue, limited rest, and diverse climates across all seven continents.
2. Social Impact and Awareness
Through this global platform, Project 777 aims to raise awareness for causes important to the runner, inspire others to take on meaningful challenges, and leverage high-profile participation to fundraise and generate support for charitable missions connected to education, health, welfare, or community development. Bal Joshi’s involvement reflects this dual purpose, as he has previously run marathons to support social causes and humanitarian work.
Why the Project Matters
