Impact Highlights
Inaugural Success: The first event of its kind in Texas dedicated specifically to the autistic community through a simple, inclusive approach.
Community Powered: Supported by local families who provided essential supplies, from drinking water to fresh fruit and coffee.
A “Win” for Everyone: No trophies or ceremonies—just pure solidarity. Every registered participant was honored as a winner with a commemorative medal.
Raising Awareness: Bridging the gap between the challenges faced by families of autistic children and the understanding of the wider community.
“Support from the whole community is needed to address the challenges faced by autistic children. Unless people understand what these families go through, real change is not possible.” — Bal Joshi, Event Volunteer & Marathon Runner
The Promise Walk for Autism
The One Step Walk for Autism in Euless brought together over 270+ participants for more than just a five-kilometer walk, it was a powerful display of community, compassion, and awareness. From toddlers to octogenarians, people from all walks of life united to support autistic children and their families.
Thanks to the incredible dedication of our participants, volunteers, and our main sponsor, Data Flake, this inaugural Texas event proved that when a community moves together, we create real change. This wasn’t about the speed of the race, but the strength of our collective support.
How Your Steps Created Change
